Winter Wall Hanging

Happy Friday, friends!   This mini wall hanging started off as a card but .....

Before I get into all the details, I want to share a really cute Valentine's Day kit with you.  It's available at Pumpkin Spice and has the sweetest paper pads, stickers, embellies and the adorable WITH LOVE stamp set by Whimsical Designs.  It really is a wonderful kit and a great bargain!  Here's the link to the store.

The hanging measures 8x8 (excluding ribbon).  It's so hard to get a photo of larger projects and still show all of the glitter and detail, and this is much more glitzy in real life.  The igloo, snowmen and giant snowflake were cut with my Silhouette SD.  The large and medium snowflakes are Spellbinders and the smaller ones are a MS punch. 

The sentiment is from the With Love set by Whimsical Designs, and it's included in the kit that I mentioned at the beginning of my post.    It's cut out with a Nesties Label die and mounted on a larger one from the same set.

I inked up the bottom layer of the igloo with Distress Ink and the snowflakes are cut from glitter paper.

Here is the blue snowman doing a slight jig.  He's attached with an Action Wobble!  I used a  Stampendous embossing powder on the hat.  It has a nice metallic finish to it.  Puffy paint for the fur trim and Pearl Pen for the pom poms.. His face is a Peachy Keen stamp with a bit of Copics for coloring.  I added Diamnond Glaze to the nose and little bitty black gems for buttons.

Here's the red snowgirl.  Stampendous embossing powder, this time with a glitter finish.  Ditto the blue guy for the rest of the details.

 I used a spray adhesive on the white snowflake and sprinkled with a fine glitter by Martha Stewart.  Wish I could get it to show up better in the photo.  It's much more sparkly IRL.

Last, but not least, is the sweet sentiment, by Whimsical Designs.  You can find it in the shop at Whimsical Designs, HERE, or as I mentioned way up top, you can get it as part of an exclusive Valentine's Day kit at Pumpkin Spice.  I used a clear ink pad and Stampendous embossing powder.  I'm going to have to work on my photography skills, because once again, this is so much prettier IRL.  It's got a slightly metallic, slightly sparkly finish.
