LOL! I didn't realize the cake box was in the background. Hubby asked for a chocolate cake so I thought I'd bake a quick one.
How cute is this guy? I'm trying to get back into the groove of things and needed to do a simple card. I have a bunch of these Cuttlebug Embossing Plus folders. This one is called Brocade Window. I don't think I've ever used it. I sized Heart Monster at approx. 3.5 inches tall and printed it out. Placed the card stock with the image in the center of the folder and ran it through my Big Kick. My oldest daughter has my old school Cuttlebug and my middle daughter has my new Cuttlebug, so like a peasant, I am left with the bare essentials. I do think I the embossing would have been much crisper with the Cuttlebug. Colored him up with Copics and added Diamond Glaze to the heart. The sentiment was stamped with black ink and then I used a Stampendous embossing powder Red Tinsel and heat set it. The tag is a Nestabilities die. The sentiment stamp is from the With Love set by Whimsical Designs. I added a little puffy heart, since I have a bazillion of them. The red frame is mounted with thin pop dots so it's not very noticeable in the photo, but it does add just a bit of dimension. The tag is also popped up.
Here you can see the metallic finish of the embossing powder
Mark your calendars for February 1st girls! Both of the Design Teams that I am on are having blog hops and they will begin that Friday. There's going to be lots of goodies along the way, so be sure to stop by.
