Sizzix Old Meets New

I dusted off the Sizzix Eclips and played around a little bit.  I have a lot to learn with this machine.  The sun and the dragonfly are from two of the cartridges, Starter & Rockin' Janie (comes with the machine) and All Occasions.  Couldn't you just pinch that itsy-bitsy face on the dragonfly?  I did some heat embossing on the middle layer of the sun.  I totally messed up while gluing these layers together and the layer with the heat embossing is actually an outline cut, which should have gone on top of my top layer.  I was in a bit of a rush while making this card.  I wanted to make the Peachy Keen challenge deadline and I only had an hour or two for crafting this morning.  The white background is embossed using an old school Sizzix embossing plate, in my Big Kick.  These plates produce a more subtle embossing than the more popular embossing folders, but sometimes subtle is okay.  The houses border is a Tim Holtz die, which I cut from glitter foam in the Big Kick.  LOVE IT!  I used an EK Success border punch on the bottom along with American Crafts ribbon and a ruler border from one of my bazillion scrapbook kits.  I've had the miscellaneous embellishments for some time...I will be back later this evening with details one those.  I love the colors of this challenge and I'm quite pleased with how my card turned out!
