I needed to make a birthday card for my mother-in-law and so I decided to play along with the Bitten By The Bug 2 challenge, which is to use a purse from the Paisley cartridge. I used the Purse3 cut. I cut it once with blue cardstock and then once with a patterned paper using the cut and then again using a brown patterned paper, for the handle, which I cut off from the purse with a scissor. The flowers are from the Pagoda cartridge, cut at several different sizes. Using Design Studio, I placed one of the flowers in the center of the purse, to have it cut out. I only glued the edges of the top layer to the bottom layer, so I could have the purse popped open. The butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch from a Punch & Stamp set. I punched one of the butterflies from the paper stack. The inside sentiment is an Inkdadinkado stamp, cut out using a deckled edge Nestie. The border punch is EK Success... it's called Arch Scallop and I LOVE it! I am also entering this card in the PolkaDoodles challenge, which is to make a birthday card. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RUTH!!!
